IMMERSE YOURSELF IN AMERICA'S EARLY HISTORY IN COLONIAL WILLIAMSBURG

We all know "Virginia is for Lovers," but it is also for history buffs! The good news is that Greater Williamsburg (Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown) is now welcoming visitors. All venues are open at these historical sites, with COVID guidelines in full force. Masks are required for visitors to participate in indoor tours. For outdoor activities, masks are recommended, but not obligatory, with social distancing in place.

Colonial Williamsburg takes visitors back in time with its original and reconstructed buildings, parks and pathways. While there are many indoor venues you can explore here, you can easily spend an entire day or more outside, soaking in the historical ambiance of this amazing monument to 17th-18th century life in the Americas.

The early 19th Century Peyton Randolph House is interesting to tour for its lavish architecture, but it also carries the distinction of being the most haunted house in Williamsburg. © Joanne DiBona Photography
